Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in the SSEHV (Sathya Sai Education in Human Values) Program. The ISSE-USA Standard SSEHV Instructional Program has two components: Course One (Introduction) and Course Two (Intermediate). Introductory SSEHV Workshops are available and individually designed (agenda and requirements) to meet the needs of the group participants. The SSEHV Program is FREE of charge, however, there will be a nominal fee for amenities and food assessed upon registration. Participants are responsible for all (personal) lodging. Requirements:
- Course One requirements include full attendance in an interactive training consisting of lecture, group activities and presentations, a post-course-narrative and fieldwork under the support of an assigned ISSE Faculty Advisor. As this program is intended to be used in the community, prior to registering please locate a venue where you will be able to bring SSEHV. It is important that you communicate with them to confirm that they are interested in and willing for you to bring SSEHV to them.
There are several options for bringing SSEHV to the community. For Option 1, you will create and deliver four lesson plans at this venue on four consecutive weeks. For Option 2, you will engage in a new or existing service project. The service project must be repeated at the same location a minimum of four (4) times within the year and must implement several of the SSEHV Teaching Techniques. For Option 3, you will design and implement four separate events that will make a difference to people in your workplace or community and be conducted at the same venue. These events must include several of the SSEHV Teaching Techniques.
(Upon completion of Course One, participants may use their SSEHV Program in their respective projects, with an ISSE Faculty Advisor and commitment to complete Course Two for a deeper understanding of the pedagogy and principles of the SSEHV Program.)
Course Two is an advanced in-depth follow-up to Course One that requires full attendance in an interactive training consisting of lecture, group activities and presentations, and fieldwork under the support of an assigned ISSE Faculty Advisor.
