The Institute also provides technical assistance for professional activities that encourage community agencies, local schools, and institutions of higher education to promote and implement human values education along with their existing program curricula.
Consistent with its mission, the aims and functions of the ISSE-USA are to:
- Provide training, technical assistance, professional oversight and support to those who wishes to bring SSEHV to their communities, workplaces or schools; ;
- Assist and guide with establishing SSEHV community projects and programs, workplace programs, partnership schools and other venues;
- Create publications to support SSEHV programs;
- Conduct research on the impact of those involved in the process of delivering and receiving the SSEHV program.
The Institute faculty has professional credentials and postgraduate degrees in education and other fields. They are culturally and demographically diverse, and come from various regions throughout the United States.
The faculty also has extensive background in Sathya Sai Education. They have worked professionally with children, adolescents, and adults at schools, universities, and in community organizations across the United States and overseas.
