Fort Dodge and Des Moines, Iowa, June 18 & 19, 2020: SSEHV Introductory Workshops for Healthcare Professionals (via Zoom)

Half-day Introductory SSEHV Workshops were offered to healthcare professionals from Fort Dodge and Des Moines, Iowa on June 18, 2020 and June 19, 2020.

The workshops were done via Zoom due to the Covid-19 situation. We had more than 25 participants on Day 1, June 18, 2020 which included participants from Unity Point Pediatric Clinic nurses, Fort Dodge; Webster County public health nurses, social workers, and counselors;  Lotus Community Project for Women in Fort Dodge, and YWCA for Drug Rehabilitation Program in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

We had and approximately 48 participants on Day 2, June 19, 2020, which included  Des Moines Polk County public health workers, nurses, counselors, and interpreters.

Many of the participants wanted to know more about this program, and some of them have expressed interest in taking SSEHV Course 1.
